This guide will help you download and setup the Ventrillo client.

1) Go to the website and download the appropriate client for your operating system. Make sure that you are downloading the client and not the server.

2) Go ahead and install Ventrillo where-ever you wish, it doesn't matter where you install it.

3) Now we are ready to run Ventrillo and connect to the Battlegrounds server.

Go ahead and run Ventrillo, you will get a window that looks something like this:



Click the arrow next to user name, then hit the new button. You should get a window that looks something like this:



Put in your user name, this is the name that you will go by while in the Ventrillo server.

Navigate your way back to the main window, the one that looks like this:


Now click the arrow to the right of the word server. This will bring you to the Connection Editor page, go ahead and click NEW. This will bring you to a page that looks like this:



Go ahead and name the server, I would recommend The Battlegrounds.

Once you have named the server, hit ok.
We now need to enter in some information so that Ventrillo can connect to the server.
Host IP number: 208.100.45.10
Port Number: 3843

Once that is done your page should look like this:



Click OK.
You're now back that the main page. Lets set up your mic so everyone can hear you.

Go to Setup, it's on the right side of the window, once you are there you're window will look like this:



Set up your mic Push to talk key. on the left hand side. Tell Ventrillo what key you want to use in the Hotkey section. It's the white box on the left hand side. In the example image it says "mouse: button 3".

If your sound card supports it (which most do) I would enable the Use Direct Sound check boxes on the far top right hand corner.

Once you are done with your setup, hit OK.

Now we are ready to connect to the server. Make sure your Username and Server are selected, and hit the connect button on the right hand side.
If everything goes right you will connect to the Battlegrounds Ventrillo server.
